History

1970 Cotman Housing Association founded
1975 Registered with the Housing Corporation
1981 Cotman Housing Services Ltd established to promote low-cost home ownership initiatives
1997 Cotman Housing Services Ltd merged with Cotman Housing Association
2009 Cotman Housing Association joins Places for People Group as a subsidiary - taking over management of all Group-owned properties in Norfolk and Suffolk
2011 Area of operation extended to include management of the Group's Essex and Cambridgeshire properties. This more than doubled our property portfolio in 2 years


Shareholding membership

National shareholding membership is open to the Places for People Group.

Community shareholding membership is at the discretion of the Cotman Board of Management. It's open to anyone with knowledge, experience, skills which complement the aims of the association. Make a written submission to the managing director if you're interested in community shareholding membership.

How we're managed

We're directed by a Board of Management and work to the National Housing Federation's code of governance. The Places for People Group agree all our Board appointments.
