All About You

All About You

Cotman Housing are pleased to announce the launch of a new 3-year partnership project with Age UK Norwich.

"All About You" aims to encourage and support carers of people with dementia to become active by participating or re-engaging in sporting or physical activities they enjoyed prior to having caring responsibilities.

Shona Heazle, the project co-ordinator for All About You said "carers of people with dementia often require support to stay active, many placing their own needs behind the needs of the person they care for. They may be reluctant to leave their loved one, even for a short period, knowing they will become distressed by unfamiliar faces and situations".

The project will aim to provide access to a varied programme of activities which both the carer and person being cared for can take part in, as well as separately. Access will also be provided to participate in activities which are delivered alongside other forms of support for people with dementia, such as dementia cafes and drop in sessions.
